An ambitious runner is attempting to complete 21 marathons in three weeks to raise funds for Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart charity.
Adam Saltarelli’s goal was simple: to help raise money for children’s sports by eliminating financial barriers.
He says that when he was younger, financial pressures forced him to give up his favorite sport: martial arts.
Now with the opportunity to give back, the Port Colborne athlete is running the shoreline of Lake Ontario, stopping in various communities to raise awareness and funds for his cause.
Arriving in Port Hope on Thursday, Saltarelli aims to clear Northumberland County by Monday on his way to the Gananoque area next week. He aims to raise $5,500.
