The Ganaraska Conservation Authority has raised the flood watch to High, saying the watershed has received between 30 and 50 mm of rain, with a further 15 mm expected this afternoon.
Cobourg Mayor Lucas Cleveland is encouraging people to participate in the Mayor’s clean-up challenge in a few weeks. During the week of April 19-25, residents can clean up garbage and litter in their neighborhoods, on roadsides, in parks, and on trails.
Port Hope Police Chief Tim Farquharson has received a four-year contract extension. The Police Services Board made the announcement this morning.
