Surviving the pandemic: two women entrepreneurs from Northumberland share their stories

Full interview:

Businesses are struggling during the pandemic. No question. The uncertainty surrounding what comes next is a major factor. For some, finding the resources to make the necessary changes – to pivot – is difficult. There are many provincial and federal programs meant to assist them. But not everyone meets the criteria. Especially if you are a woman running a small business. As you will hear in this interview, some challenges are truly unique. This story will look at a federal program aimed at helping these entrepreneurs.

This is an interview with Erin Gibb, owner of Whistling Willow Designs in Cobourg, Andrea Bull, Naturopathic Doctor home office in Warkworth, and Wendy Curtis, Executive Director of the Northumberland Community Futures Development Corporation (Northumberland CDFC).
