After Labour Day, municipal election campaigns across Northumberland County will take off in earnest.
Sometimes it helps to go back and reflect on the promises and vision of incumbent candidates. It’s a kind of performance review, if you like. So, let’s begin this week.
In this interview, you can hear from Port Hope Mayor Olena Hankivsky. This interview was done in 2022 when both were first-time candidates running for mayor.
With all that has happened over the past four years, it is hard to remember that in this interview Olena Hankivsky was just a neophyte politician running for mayor.

In the last election, I interviewed only mayoral candidates. I have one for Angela Grogan because she ran for mayor last time. That means I do not have any interviews with the other people running for mayor this time.
