
Earlier this week, Brighton council agreed to assign one member to the Northumberland Food Policy Council, starting next year.
If you have never heard of the food policy council, you may not be alone. It has toiled away behind the scenes for many years, working to create a more sustainable system of food production and local distribution. It created a food charter, works with the county’s farmers’ markets, and promotes buy local when it comes to food.
