A year ago, the county began handing over its recycling program to a provincial body called Circular Materials Ontario. It is an industry group now responsible for all recycling across the province.
The county will continue to collect the garbage and organic waste. It will still run the community recycling centres. And, it is still in charge of the landfill.
In this interview, Adam McCue, the person in charge at the county, will explain the changes taking place – what is the same and what is different.
