Young entrepreneurs from across Northumberland County are displaying their business ideas, with the support of a microgrant program.
This summer, 24 youth aged eight to 14 not only received financial assistance, but also free business coaching through the Business and Entrepreneurship Centre Northumberland.
The youth develop their business plans, market their products, and gain hands-on experience. The program provides up to $500 to help fund business expenses, marketing, supplies, and equipment.
Twelve new businesses have entered the program this year and demonstrated their new ventures Wednesday in Cobourg.
Four young entrepreneurs discussed their business venture, but also how the funding support has helped them grow.
