
All this week, a series of focus groups took place to collect experiences from people who face poverty or are caregivers or are volunteers or are indigenous from across Northumberland.\
It is all part of a two-year United Way study called Our Community Matters. It will serve as the basis for its next strategic plan as the organization looks to better serve the county. The study is being done by Loyalist College’s Centre for Healthy Communities. A final report is expected in June.
In this interview, you will hear Northumberland United Way Executive Director Alicia Vandine unpack the process and what her organization hopes to learn from these focus groups and this study.
