Northumberland Hills Hospital newborn clinic aims to serve mothers and babies, especially those without a family doctor

First baby 2026 — Hayley Boivin and Nate Hladysh, of Port Hope, welcomed Emma as the first baby of 2026. Couples like them will have access to the new Newborn, Perinatal, Reproductive Care Clinic at Northumberland Hills Hospital.

A new clinic on the second floor of Northumberland Hills Hospital recently opened, providing enhanced care for babies and mothers. While many families will get support from their primary care providers, there are lots of parents who don’t have access to that basic level of support. The clinic hopes it can fill this gap.
