Port Hope council heard a presentation from the Ganarasak Oak Ridges Guardians in opposition to a cell tower at 1564 Oak Hill Road at a meeting on July 15.
Holly Blefgen, a director for the group, noted several concerns, as well as a door-to-door survey of residents in the area, stating that there was already good cell coverage. She was critical of the lack of a full tower review and an inadequate natural heritage evaluation.
