Former Northumberland Peterborough South MP Kim Rudd shocked many people recently when she announced she would not run in the next election. She said it was her health and she wanted to spend time with family. Within a few days, the riding association declares Alison Lester, a local lawyer, as her replacement. She was declared. There was no nomination race or a vote.
In this interview, Rudd will explain her decision to step away from taking her fourth run at elected office. She will talk about her battle with ovarian cancer and the response of her family and friends over the past year. Rudd will also reflect on her political career, as well as talk about her future.
