Three Cobourg men are facing multiple charges as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into drug activities. More than $70,000 worth of drugs were seized, plus some weapons. It is an example of the collaboration currently taking place between Cobourg, Port Hope, and Belleville police forces.

At an upcoming Cobourg council meeting, politicians will debate whether it will start negotiations towards a possible merger of the Cobourg and Port Hope Police. Council is also considering contacting Hamilton Township, which the OPP currently serves.
