There are more than 10 organizations in Northumberland County that support farmers and promote buying local food. There are also numerous municipal rural committees to support agriculture and rural life.
In our first interview, you will meet Jodi Carr, the events and festival coordinator for IncrEdible Trent Hills. It runs the Incredible Edible Festival in Campbellford. But it also does a lot more, including a school program teaching Grade 8 students how to grow and prepare food on their own.
