Church restoration in Wesleyville could conclude this year

Friends of Wesleyville Village Church — Friends of Wesleyville Village hope to receive an occupancy permit by the end of the year.

Momentum will continue to be the theme for the Wesleyville Church restoration project as it enters 2026.

Last year, the building, which was severely damaged by a 2021 fire, saw all the windows either repaired or replaced and a new front door installed.

After securing local and provincial grants, The Friends of Wesleyville Village, who are overseeing the restoration project, plan to restore the interior of the church and replace the roof.

Wendy Schroder, Community Programming Coordinator with The Friends of Wesleyville Village, says the roof replacement will be instrumental in the overall restoration project.

Schroder says the group is optimistic about receiving an occupancy permit by the end of this year.
