Construction is now underway for a new 256-bed long-term care home in Brighton.
The $100,000 million new Presqu’ile Place will combine three local facilities. The five-storey building will have four levels of two resident home areas per floor, including dining and activity areas, lounges, and balconies for the bedrooms.
Offerings of an outdoor amenity area, multipurpose room, bistro, and hair salon.
The Maplewood home is expected to open during the summer of 2027. The design is intended to provide a community, as Brighton looks to modernize seniors’ care.
Mayor Brian Ostrander spoke to the significance of this project.
