New rural outreach clinic marks collaborative efforts by municipality and health team to increase access

On April 5, 2021, the new rural outreach clinic in Colborne was open for business. A month before, officials gathered to mark the completion of the new facility. Through a collaboration between the municipality and the Ontario Health Team, the clinic will be offering mental health services, foot care, diabetes education, and a host of other programs aimed at improving access to health care. Eight new nurses hired as health unit collaborates with school boards as classrooms reopen

As the clock ticks down to the reopening of local schools, the debate over safety and the concerns of parents, teachers, and others continue to be hashed over in meetings and in public. School boards are finalizing plans while reaching out to parents to keep them informed. Yet, in some aspects,  it is a very fluid situation.
