One to two percent of sexual assault cases end in conviction nationally and locally, says expert

International Women’s Day is on Sunday, March 8. But on the Saturday, the day before, the Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre in Peterborough is holding a day-long event. It features a rally in front of City Hall, then a street march to the library for a day filled with events and a keynote speaker.

In a time when those seeking justice following a sexual assault, especially in the shadow of the Epstein files and the trial of Canadian businessman Frank Stronach, it is particularly relevant.
