An interesting fundraiser for the Northumberland YMCA in early September has opened the door for that organization to conduct another fundraiser.
Four movies were recently screened at the now-shutdown drive-in theatre just outside of Cobourg.
That event was a smashing success, raising money for local youth programs.
However, as YMCA staff prepared for the screening of the movies, they discovered old speakers, projector lenses, and other drive-in-related equipment.
After approaching the owners of the drive-in, the nostalgic memorabilia was donated.
Kathryn Harrison, Communications Manager for the Northumberland YMCA, says the agency is cleaning and preparing the equipment for an upcoming auction.
