Rating a great moustache for Movember

One of the greatest moustaches of our time is the one sported by Kurt Russell in his role as Wyatt Earp in the 1993 movie Tombstone. It’s a classic. Sure, Russell gets some stiff competition from his fellow actors Val Kilmer and Sam Elliot. They sport some pretty cool moustaches. Maybe I am too old fashioned for the Movember promotions

Movember is meant to be a fundraising and awareness campaign for prostate cancer. It is a disease affecting one in seven men in Canada.  The money raised goes to Prostate Cancer Canada, a global leader in the battle against prostate cancer. What is always interesting is how businesses leverage this kind of effort. A matter of moustache style is considered for Movember

Moustache growing is serious business, at least if you are a member of the American Mustache Institute. The first thing to get right is the spelling, which is different than the British. The institute was founded in 1965 to fight discrimination against people with moustaches. It claims to be the world’s leading facial hair advocacy organization and think tank committed to promoting the growth, care and culture of the “lower nose forest”, says its website.
